What are the ideal CE's for an XP grinding sword?

I'm gonna say, no damage increasers, since you 1 shot mobs anyway.

My personal favourite besides inquisitive;

1. Skill Swipe 5
2. Nutrition 3
3. Life steal 5
4. Vampire 5

All this does is give either more XP or give health/hunger.

Skill swipe 5;

Nutrition 3;

Life steal 5;

Vampire 5;

 

 

I personally use a sword that applies to most of these enchants, and I really enjoy using it!!

I suggest you try it out

^^ Personally I would reserve Life Steal or Vampire for a PVP sword since they are somewhat redundant during grinding.

Another possible CE is LightWeight III - gives you a chance to get haste when fighting.

Doesn't haste only increase mining speed? 

I don't think it affects any fighting aspects.

Never knew that, I always learn something new! I'd say replace Life steal with Haste then
